WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON? Big THANKS to all concerned Igbos and Nigerians who have continued to express deep feelings and great concern over the delayed declaration of BLESSED CYPRIAN TANSI “SAINT” according to the age-long Cathoilic tradition. As facts continue to unfold many Igbos, Nigerians, including the clergy, who don’t want to appear public on FACEBOOK or SOCIAL media, point to some other urgent issues they claim are related to or can be linked to TANSI canonization saga.

While we will not like these relevant but frustrating stories, often referred to as “PROBLEMATIC IGBO/NIGERIAN FACTOR” to distract attention from TANSI Sainthood, I must confess that I am alarmed by the amount of deep frustration and dismay with which Nigerians, and Igbos in particular, including the clergy are expressing their disappointment over the non resolution of AHIARA and ABA bishopric appointments!! TANSI, MBAISE and ABA are surely IGBO CHURCH problems staring all of us on the face!

Who will believe that AHIARA/MBAISE, once known as the IRELAND OF AFRICAN CHURCH has been completely neglected by the Mother Catholic Church for over 5 years now! Without bishop and no resolution of the crisis that visited that ecclesiastical circumsciption. No ordination of priests and true pastoral care of the large Catholic faithful. WOW!! UNBELIEVEABLE!

The diocese of ABA has remained without new bishop over 2 years after the passing on of the former bishop. What are they waiting for?

What is actually going on? Surely a great crisis has befallen the IGBO CHURCH. Upon all enquiries from my own humble side, the answer I get is EVERYTHING IS IN THE HANDS OF ROME! Rome??? “WILL ROME ALSO TRANSLATE THE NEW “USORO EMUME MISSA” for us into IGBO?”, I demanded. MUTE!!!

OK! If ROME is not taking action , what next??? As for me I think it is time for PLACARDS AND PEACEFUL PROTESTS by Igbo and Nigerian communities, home and in Diaspora, before Vatican Embasies and Nunciatures everywhere, for immediate attention and quick resolution of these long neglected IGBO/NIGERIAN CHURCH DILEMMAS. Igbo communities and Nigerians in Rome and Italy should begin there!! “DARIS GOTT OO! ” …….. Translated into English means “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!”

NON RESOLUTION OF IWENE TANSI SAINTHOOD SAGA, AHIARA/MBAISE, TOGETHER WITH THE APPOINTMENT OF NEW BISHOP OF ABA DIOCESE IS A TERRIBLE BLOW TO THE IGBO AND AFRICAN CHURCH AS WELL AS THE CATHOLIC FAITH IN THIS PART OF THE WORLD. ( READ OVER AGAIN, SHARE AND PRAY.)
